THE ARTIST - Michelle Lalonde
I draw my inspiration from my garden and from the beautiful landscape of the Missisquoi valley, near the village of Glen Sutton in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, where I live.
The colours, the textures, the choices, all were what led me to mosaics. Allowing something beautiful to be created from the materials on hand such as tile, stained glass, plates, shells, pebbles and beads is very exciting. Making a mosaic is meditative as well as creative.
My studio is featured on the Tour des Arts, a yearly showcase for successful artists in the region.
